Can I export my vehicle from South Africa when I emigrate?
Yes. We handle vehicle exports for people relocating overseas, as well as classics, collectors, race cars, motorcycles, motorhomes and caravans. If you are leaving South Africa and want to take your vehicle with you, we manage the shipping and guide you through the paperwork.
What is involved in exporting a vehicle?
There are a few requirements to work through, including police clearance, marking the vehicle for export and an export permit, before the vehicle is prepared for shipping. We manage the shipping and logistics side and guide you on the documentation, while the official clearances and permits are handled by the relevant authorities.
Can South Africans reclaim VAT when exporting a vehicle?
In certain cases VAT can be reclaimed on an exported vehicle. We offer a VAT refund claim service and will let you know whether it applies to your export and help you through the process.
